How to plan the perfect wedding day

When the best laid plans go awry -the 5 worst things to happen at your wedding

Everythings been booked for the big day: the castle hotel accommodation for all the guests and the reception, the cake, matching bridesmaid’s dresses, everything seems to be running fine.

Then one of these 5 things happen:

  • The bride or groom doesnt show up. Humiliating to say the least, not something that people forget about -seeing you crying at the church footsteps instead of walking down the alter. My sincere apoligies if this has happened to yourself. Sometimes its a case of cold feet, sudden realisation or blind panic that makes them decide to make a run for it.
  • The dramatic revelation during the actual ceremony. Holding ‘your peace’ forever is a long time -pity the moment some people snap is the most dramatic moment, in front of friends and family. From the soon-to-be-happy couple being twins seperated at birth through to a past act of infidelity rearing its head, if this has to be done tell them in advance and at least try to save them the exspense of a big wedding -or take a vow of silence.
  • The rings get lost. It seems like a situation from a comedy tv show, but this does happen. The items that bring the couple together gets lost in the rush to get everything ready on the day, only to be discovered far too late. These are the important objects bringing these two people together ’till death do they part’.
  • Uninvited guests gatecarshing the wedding. The ex girlfriend, determined to declare her love for the groom or spoil the day to the forgotten work colleague, who never recieved an invite and will let everyone know. These wildcards can strike at any moment -putting a dampener on the big day. Have them stopped before they can make their move.
  • Anyone one of hundreds of things. On the big day, tiny events can be blown out of proportion but dont tell the bride, she wont be seeing it in the same light. The food can be wrong, the dj can not turn up, the limo runs out of gas- any number of hundred different things can happen. Try to take the events as they come and dont blow them out of proportion.

Looking for that castle hotel still? Look no further than Rowton castle.
